Halo Master Chief Collection one-time player file transfer detailed

Halo The Master Chief Collection will offer players a one-time player file transfer from standalone games into the anthology, 343 Industries has detailed.

From 13 August here in Australia, players who’ve opted in will have file shares — so custom game types and custom maps — moved from Halo 3, Halo 4 and Halo: Reach into their equivalents inside Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

“The two weeks below are when we will copy the files, so be sure to have your file shares loaded on each game (Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4) well beforehand to ensure they get copied over,” 343 Industries advised.

The migration will be split into two different days, with one focusing on game types and the other, maps. The specific times are below:

  • Game Types: 3.00 am AEST on 13 August (or 10.00 am PT on 12 August)
  • Maps: 3.00 am AEST on 27 August (or 10.00 am PT on 26 August)

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available on Xbox One and will head to Windows PC at a later date.
