Halo Infinite’s next samurai event moves cosmetics from paid to free

Perfect.

Halo Infinite‘s next Tenrai samurai event will move paid cosmetic items into the free loot pool, 343 Industries today advised.

The first portion of the Tenrai event was offered earlier this year and brought a sense of disappointment to many players. 343 has started to address concerns accordingly.

“We want the events to be a place where you can earn new content and not care about whether you’re going to pay or not,” said 343’s Jerry Hook.

“We want that content to be high quality. That’s why we wanted the Fracture [Tenrai event] — it’s completely new armor that’s all earned by the player playing during the event. It’s completely new, achievable stuff throughout the entire season. None of that should be available in the store. We made that mistake; I’m sorry about that.”

Halo Infinite multiplayer is now live on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
