Halo Infinite battle royale won’t be happening, says 343

Halo Infinite battle royale hopefuls better let go of that expectation — its developer, 343 Industries, has shot down the mode’s in-game inclusion.

“I’ll tell you right now, the only BR we’re interested in is Battle Rifle,” 343’s Jeff Easterling said in a recent livestream on Mixer. “The original BR. So, calm yourself.”

This means the upcoming Halo Infinite won’t sport a battle royale mode. With the game just released, and years away, this is the only real confirmation we’ve had of in-game content with the exception the title will feature the Master Chief in some way.

Would you like to see a battle royale mode in Halo? Similar modes have recently been confirmed for the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Battlefield 5.

Halo Infinite was announced this year at E3 2018.
