Halo 5: Guardians: All the details from Microsoft’s conference

Microsoft opened their E3 Media Briefing talking Halo 5: Guardians.343’s Bonnie Ross introduced the game, saying it was one “that fulfils both the promise of the Halo universe and the power of Xbox One.”

From what was offered up, it appears that Spartan Locke and ODST Buck are hunting down “the traitor” that is Master Chief. As you progress through the game’s campaign, you’ll either play as Locke and his squad, or the Master Chief’s group.

In an action-packed sequence, with Locke and his squad, the Spartans’ boost jump ability was shown as the squad outran a crumbling building. Later, Locke employed a Ground Pound that devastated Promethean opponents.

Locke was also shown calling out waypoints and issuing commands to the other three team members.

Josh Holmes also added that Halo 5’s maps can be up to four times the size of previous multiplayer offerings.

Warzone, a new multiplayer mode, was described as “player versus everything,” seemingly combining traditional multiplayer with Firefight.
