God of War microtransactions: “No freakin way” says Sony

God of War microtransactions won’t be happening, Sony Santa Monica has confirmed.

The confirmation comes by way of Creative Director, Cory Barlog, who emphatically stated, “no freaking way!!!” when asked about in-game purchases.

Yep, there are three exclamation points there. The man means business.

The news comes at the same time that Sony announced a special God of War-themed PS4 Pro, so if you’re desperate to throw cash at the game, you still have options.

God of War is a PS4 exclusive available from 20 April. We previewed the game at E3 2017.
