God of War Ragnarok not delayed, says Cory Barlog

... but that's all he's saying.

God of War Ragnarok has not been delayed, Sony Santa Monica’s Cory Barlog has stressed.

Barlog made the confirmation to a fan asking, “why won’t you all just go on and tell us that Ragnarok is delayed so that we can move on and plan the rest of the year seriously this is getting frustrating.”

“Because it’s not,” Barlog said.

“If it were up to me I would share all the information when I know about it,” he continued. “But it is not up to me. so please, be patient. I promise things will be shared at the earliest possible moment they can be. We make games for you. We get to make games because of you.”

While rumours have suggested that God of War Ragnarok has been delayed to 2023 — and we really haven’t seen any gameplay from the title as yet — Barlog’s confirmation suggests we’ll still see the title in 2022 as planned.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

God of War Ragnarok is expected in 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
