Go behind the scenes of STALKER 2, South of Midnight with these new docos

Players can go behind the scenes of the development of both STALKER 2 and South of Midnight thanks to new documentaries from GSC Game World, Compulsion Games, and Microsoft.

First, “War Game: The Making of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Documentary” has been on offer from GSC Game World and Microsoft for the better part of month, and deals with some heavy stuff.

“Our deepest thanks go to everyone defending and supporting Ukraine,” reads a description attached to the documentary. “Without you, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl would not have been possible.”

Newly released, a new doco from first-party Microsoft studio Compulsion Games explores the upcoming South of Midnight.

“Weaving Hazel’s Journey explores the development and world-building behind South of Midnight,” reads its description. “In addition to a first look at new gameplay, this documentary features exclusive commentary from the team and talent who shaped South of Midnight’s captivating music, art, gameplay, and narrative.”

STALKER 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X on 21 November 2024. South of Midnight is planned for a 2025 release on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
