Girls5eva Season 2 confirmed, heading to Stan

YES.

Girls5eva Season 2 has been greenlit, heading to Peacock in the USA and Stan here within Australia.

The comedy series stars Tony & Emmy Award-nominated singer Sara Bareilles, Grammy & Tony Award-winning actress and singer Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), Emmy winning Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell and actress Busy Philipps (Cougar Town).

“When a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90’s gets sampled by a young rapper, its members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot,” Stan said of the show, essentially detailing the premise of its first season. “They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, ageing parents, and shoulder pain, but can‘t they also be Girls5eva?”

Girls5eva comes from a talented team of producers including SNL‘s Tina Fey and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Meredith Scardino. On top of that, it’s just plain ol’ hilarious.

Girls5eva Season 1 is currently available in Australia on Stan, and comes highly recommended from Stevivor.
