Ghostwire Tokyo Xbox release date set for April; new content coming to all platforms

Time to check it out?

The Ghostwire Tokyo Xbox release date has been set for 12 April, Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have today announced.

In addition to availability on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X — also through Xbox Game Pass — new content will be made available on all platforms including PC and PS5 thanks to a free update.

“In addition to the main game, the Spider’s Thread game mode tasks players to navigate a 30-stage gauntlet selected from over 120 hand-crafted levels with one simple goal: get to the end,” reads a press release. “As players clear challenges and complete stages, they will unlock more skills and earn in-game currency to spend on upgrades.

“The main game’s story will also feature extended cutscenes, granting players a deeper look into the plot as they play through Akito & KK’s adventure to stop the menacing Hannya from destroying Tokyo.”

New locations including a local school will be added alongside the update, offering new missions and mysteries. New enemies will also be added to the mix as well.

Ghostwire Tokyo is available now on Windows PC and PS5; it heads to Xbox Series S and X on 12 April. Matt reviewed it here… and Steve had some differing opinions here.
