Ghostwire Tokyo gameplay shown off on PS5

Today’s PlayStation 5 Future of Gaming reveal gave us our first real look at Tango Gamework’s Ghostwire Tokyo and its gameplay.

As you’d expect, Tokyo looks rich, detailed and colourful, the backdrop for a lot of creepy, creepy stuff that’s set to befall your character.

This game seems to have all the tropes — the long-haired terrifying little girl from franchises such as The Ring, headless schoolgirls, floating dead, ghosts in raincoats. You name it, this has it.

“Tokyo is overrun by deadly supernatural forces after 99% of the city’s population vanished. Use a powerful arsenal of spectral abilities to fight the paranormal threat and unravel the mystery behind the mass disappearance,” the game’s trailer states, alongside news that “GhostWire: Tokyo arrives in 2021, exclusively on PlayStation 5.”

Ghostwire Tokyo was announced last year at E3 2019.
