Ghost Recon Wildlands gets free Rainbow Six Siege content

Ghost Recon Wildlands will soon receive free Rainbow Six Siege content as part of its Special Operation 2 update.

The free crossover mission will be available tomorrow, July 25, alongside the permadeath Ghost mode already detailed.

The Siege content comes in the form of Ghost War PvP classes and a two-part PvE mission called Operation Archangel. In the latter mode, Rainbow Six: Siege Operator Caveira has gone missing. You’re tasked to find Caveira with the help of Twitch.

The two-part mission is highlighted in the trailer below and can be played solo or with up to four players in co-op.

Those who finish Operation Archangel before 14 August 14 will be rewarded with Caveira gloves. Said gloves will let players perform Caveira’s CQC move and unlock the position of all enemies in the vicinity.

The new Ghost War PvP classes as part of Special Operation 2 are Toxic and Surgeon, which were inspired by Smoke and Doc from Rainbow: Six Siege.

“Toxic uses his drone to deploy a large cloud of toxic smoke, which allows players to both trap the enemy team and create area denials, while Surgeon uses his stim pistol to revive teammates from a distance, creating new opportunities to deploy support strategies at medium range,” Ubisoft advised.

Rainbow Six: Siege and Ghost Recon: Wildlands are both available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
