Gears of War 4: December update and cross-platform multiplayer trial detailed

The Coalition and Microsoft today detailed a bunch of changes coming to Gears of War 4.

First, a cross-platform multiplayer trial will kick off between 2-4 December, offering those on Xbox One and Windows PC the chance to duke it out against one another. Do you think keyboard and mouse will reign supreme? Or will controller (with aim assist) hold its own? We’ll soon find out.

The game’s December update will launch as early as 6 December for those who hold its “Season Pass”. Free content includes new maps Speyer and Glory alongside other new content. Those without the “Season Pass” will gain access to the content from 13 December.

Gears of War 4 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title available on both Xbox One and Windows PC. We reviewed it here.
