Gears of War 4 classified R18+ in Australia

The Australian Classification Board has issued Gears of War 4 with an R18+ rating.

The R18+ classification is due to moderate impact themes and language as well as high impact violence. Here’s some of that violence in a lovely montage, thanks to IGN:

The Gears of War 4 beta was classified MA15+ due to mild impact language, moderate impact themes and strong impact violence. Though the executions above were taken from the beta, it looks like the full release amps it up a bit.

Gears of War 4 heads to Windows PC and Xbox One, as part of Xbox Play Anywhere, on 11 October. Microsoft recently announced a new, Gears 4-themed 2TB Xbox One Slim bundle.
