In-game Redfall images leak online, show early development

And fans are picking up on its looter shooter elements.

In-game Redfall images have leaked online and show off Arkane Austin’s upcoming game, albeit quite early in development.

The images first appeared on Imgur before being deleted (and since, reposted). The images have also been hosted by the likes of Windows Central.

Said images start to paint a picture of what to expect from Redfall. One of note shows off what Arkane devs are calling a “Loot Zoo”, complete with tiered weaponry ranging from Superior (Tier 3) to Unrivaled (Tier 5). Two specific Unrivaled weapons — a Stake Launcher M02 and UV Beam M01 — also were in the image leak; each has a handful of special perks. It’s obviously unclear as yet if those weapons’ perks are built-in to the weapons themselves or are randomly rolled as in looter shooters like Destiny 2.

The images are quite rough — as should be expected from a game in-development — and obviously weren’t meant to be shared with the general public (there’s one of an NPC in a t-pose, as an example), but they’re around should you wish to take a look for yourself.

Redfall was announced back at E3 2021 and takes place in “the quaint island town of Redfall, Massachusetts… [a town] under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world.”

We’ll have more on the title as it’s made available.

You can expect Redfall around June or July of 2022 on Windows PC, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. It’s an Xbox Game Pass title.
