Forza Horizon devs form new studio Maverick Games

Headed up by Mike Brown.

Ex-Forza Horizon devs have joined together to form Maverick Games, a new AAA studio currently working on a premium open-world game for consoles and PC.

The studio will be lead by former Horizon creative director, Mike Brown.

“Our goal is for Maverick Games to be a studio people will love,” Brown said in a press release.

“For players, we’re already at work on an exciting ultra-high quality title, and for developers, we’re building a home where everyone is encouraged to take risks, be curious, be creative, be innovative, be themselves, and above all – be a Maverick.”

The team at Maverick includes Harinder Sangha (ex-Sumo Digital Lemington) alongside ex-Playground Games devs Ben Penrose, Elly Marshall, Tom Butcher, Matt Craven, Gareth Harwood and Fraser Strachan.

We’ll report back when Maverick Games shares more of its first title.
