Fortnite security exploit found within webpage from 2004

Fortnite security exploit that exposed user data has been found and resolved, it’s been recently reported.

Via Check Point, we now know that an old, unsecured 2004 Unreal Tournament stats page could be exploited to obtain access to Fornite user data, including voice communications between squad members and, worse yet, stored credit card information.

The exploit involved the redirection of access tokens from Epic’s servers to that of Check Point itself. Thankfully, Check Point worked with Epic to resolve the issue, so your data is now safe (from this exploit at least).

Fortnite is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS and Android.
