Fortnite has made over $1 billion from in-game purchases

Fornite has made over $1 billion USD from in-game purchases, according to market research firm SuperData Research.

The firm’s report says the figure is accurate, and also that Fornite is still growing in popularity. The game experienced a huge spike in popularity in February 2018 that slightly dipped in May, though May 2018’s revenue has been estimated at $318 million USD alone.

Fornite is the most popular game when it comes to streaming — 83% of May 2018’s total streaming hours were dedicated to Epic’s popular battle royale title. That amounts to 700 million hours in the month.

Fornite is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS and Android.
