Fortnite at 60FPS now available on new iPhones

Fornite can be played in 60FPS (frames-per-second) on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, Epic has confirmed.

The game’s latest patch makes the bump from 30FPS to 60FPS possible, Epic’s Nick Chester said.

“Not sure why it didn’t make it in to today’s patch notes, but if you play [Fortnite] on an iPhone XS/XS-Max/XR, you can now play at 60FPS,” Chester wrote. “That’s an impressive technical achievement by the team and it looks great!”

Those with the newest batch of iPhones will need to head into the game’s Settings menu to opt in to the change.

At the moment, Fortnite also runs at 60FPS on both Xbox One and PS4, while Switch remains capped at 30FPS.
