Forspoken delayed until October, Square Enix confirms

Forspoken has been delayed until 11 October, Square Enix and Luminous Productions today declared.

The title was originally expected in May.

“Our vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers across the globe will want to experience for years to come, so getting it right is extremely important for us,” Luminous Productions said in a statement.

“To that end, during the next few months we will focus all of our efforts on polishing the game and can’t wait for you all to experience Frey’s journey this fall.”

We recently previewed Forspoken and thought it suffered from a bit of an identity crisis; hopefully the extra time can be used to maximise the RPG’s true potential.

Expect Forspoken on Windows PC and PS5 from 11 October 2022.
