Forspoken delayed (again) to 24 January 2023

Ruh roh?

Forspoken has been delayed to 24 January 2023, Square Enix and Luminous Productions have today confirmed.

“As a result of ongoing discussions with key partners, we have made the strategic decision to move the launch date of Forspoken to January 24, 2023,” reads a statement on Twitter.

“All game elements are now complete, and development is in its final polishing phase,” the statement continued. “We would like to thank you for your continued support and patience on this journey.”

The title was first expected in May of this year before being delayed to October. This new delay pushes the title to next year.

We recently previewed Forspoken and thought it suffered from a bit of an identity crisis; hopefully the extra (extra) time can be used to maximise the RPG’s true potential.

Expect Forspoken on Windows PC and PS5 from 24 January 2023.
