Fornite has borrowed Apex Legends ping functionality

Fornite has borrowed Apex Legends ping functionality, letting players tag enemies and objects without the need for a microphone.

We praised the work of Respawn Entertainment’s ping functionality in a piece detailing why Apex Legends was next-gen battle royale — maybe Fornite‘s Epic Games read that piece and decided to implement that in their own game?

You can take a look at how pinging works in Fornite below.

Epic has also stated it’s thinking of integrating Apex Legends‘s revive mechanic into its mix.

Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale set in the world of Titanfall; it’s available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Fornite is available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS and Android devices.
