Former Battlefield dev Lars Gustavsson launches new studio TTK Games

Ready for another shooter?

Former Battlefield creative director Lars Gustavsson has formed a new studio, TTK Games, and is hard at work on an online shooter.

First reported by Insider Gaming — and as you might expect — “TTK” stands for “time to kill”.

“‘Time to Kill’ defines how a shooter feels and how fast it plays,” Gustavsson said in a post published (and then deleted) by Eurogamer.

“We’ve made it our studio name and part of our studio culture,” Gustavsson continued. “For us the term ‘TTK’ isn’t just about the craftmanship behind finding the perfect speed or immediacy of a game – it’s about how human beings have been killing time through play for thousands of years…We are passionate about video games, because we think there’s no better way to kill time.”

According to Eurogamer’s report, Gustavsson will serve as CEO and creative director alongside three other ex-Battlefield devs: Daniel Berlin, Vidar Nygren and Peter Hoyles.

Gustavsson left EA’s DICE back in September of last year.

We’ll let you know what TTK Games is up to as soon as news becomes available.
