Five PS1 games get Trophy support as part of new PlayStation Plus

Hunters, prepare yourselves.

Five PS1 games will get Trophy support as part of the new, tiered PlayStation Plus program, with more likely to come.

At present, only one PS1 game has been confirmed for Trophy support: Sony Bend has confirmed that Syphon Filter will support Trophies, first introduced in the PS3 era.

“Agency intel reports that Syphon Filter will include Trophies when it arrives on the all-new PlayStation Plus,” the studio said on Twitter. “And yes, you can earn the Platinum too.”

Following the announcement, Exophase has discovered four more titles with the same new functionality: I.Q. Intelligent Qube, Hot Shots Golf, Ape Escape and Wild Arms.

Additional PS1 classics confirmed for PlayStation Plus include the likes of Jumping Flash!, Mr. Driller, Tekken 2, Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party.

The new tiered PlayStation Plus heads to Australia from 22 June; we’re not cloud supported so we’ll miss out on PS3 classics entirely.
