Final Resident Evil Village demo window extended by a full week

You no longer have to reschedule your plans to play an hour of an upcoming video game...

The final Resident Evil Village demo will no longer be restricted to a one-day timed window, with Capcom now confirming players will have a full week to try out the experience.

The change comes after two PlayStation-exclusive demos that offered up 30 minutes of playtime over an 8-hour window. Here in Austraila, most of that time was when most of us would be sleeping, as access started from 3.00 am AEST.

We’ve heard your feedback and are extending the availability period for the final 60-minute multi-platform [Resident Evil Village] demo,” Capcom said in a tweet. “The original 24-hour window starting 5PM PDT May 1 (1AM BST May 2) has been increased by a week, and now ends at the same times on May 9 PDT (May 10 BST).”

Here in Australia, that means we’ll have access from 8.00 pm AEST on 2 May until 8.00 pm AEST on 10 May. Players will have a maximum of one-hour’s worth of playtime during that window.

Both Resident Evil Village and its bundled multiplayer component Resident Evil RE:Verse head to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5 from 7 May 2021.
