Final Fantasy 7 25th anniverary broadcast coming next week

Mark your calendars!

A special Final Fantasy 7 25th anniversary livestream is planned for 17 June here in Australia.

The ten-minute event will kick off at 8.00 am AEST on 17 July, which corresponds to 3.00 pm PDT, 6.00 pm EDT or 11.00 pm BST on 16 June for our friends across the pond.

“This 10-minute event will offer fans a first look at all the information surrounding the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII,” Square Enix rather unhelpfully confirmed.

The event will be broadcast on Square Enix YouTube and Twitch channels. We’ve embedded the YouTube stream below.

What are you hoping to learn from the event? We’ve added it to our listing of all E3 2022 replacement or Summer Game Fest 2022 livestreams in Australian times.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is currently available on Windows PC and PS5.

Steve Wright

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
