Final Fantasy 16 PlayStation State of Play coming 14 April

A special Final Fantasy 16themed PlayStation State of Play is scheduled for 14 April here in Australia.

Sony’s post on the PlayStation Blog would suggest that FF16 is the only title that will feature as part of the special showcase.

Curiously, Sony is leaning into the fact that the title is a PlayStation console exclusive at the same time it’s crying foul when it comes to the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

“From the moment Final Fantasy XVI debuted in our 2020 PlayStation 5 Showcase, fans around the world have eagerly awaited details on the game’s dark fantasy setting, the powerful Eikons and the Dominants who house them, and the flashy battle system teased in those early trailers,” Sony wrote.

Regardless, expect the livestream from 7.00 am AEST on 14 April here in Australia.

Final Fantasy 16 heads to PS5 on 22 June 2023. The Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $144.95 AUD and is up on the PlayStation Store. In comparison, the standard edition will set you back $114.95 AUD.
