Final Fantasy 16 a PlayStation exclusive for six months

Patience, Xbox players...

Final Fantasy 16 will be a PlayStation exclusive for six months, new marketing assets have revealed.

Text attached to a new trailer reads, “Final Fantasy 16 anticipated Summer 2023. PS5 exclusive for six months.”

That anticipated date corresponds to the Australian winter of 2023.

The next big title in the long-running Final Fantasy franchise was announced as a PlayStation exclusive back in 2020. It received a mid-2023 release window back in June of this year.

What do you make of this timed exclusivity period? Are you planning on playing on PlayStation or will you wait six months for Xbox? Sound off in the comments area below.

Final Fantasy 16 is expected in mid-2023 on PS5, initially.
