“FIFA has a great brand,” says Take-Two CEO

FIFA 2K24, anyone?

Take-Two CEO Struass Zelnick has praised the FIFA brand following the break up of the football giant and EA Sports.

Speaking with IGN, Zelnick wouldn’t say whether or not Take-Two, or specifically 2K, was in current negociations with FIFA.

“We’re definitely interested in expanding our opportunities in sports,” Zelnick told the site. “FIFA has a great brand and incredible clout, but we have no current plans to discuss.”

Announcing its split from EA, FIFA head Gianni Infantino said the company is on the hunt for new developers and publishers to produce a number of new FIFA branded titles. Perhaps FIFA 2K is on that list?

“The FIFA name is the only global, original title. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25 and FIFA 26, and so on,” Infantino said. “The constant is the FIFA name and it will remain forever and remain the best.”

Would you like to see a FIFA game from 2K? Why or why not?
