Sony Australia, FFA team up for the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues

Late yesterday, Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Sony Computer Entertainment Australia announced that the PlayStation 4 brand is the inaugural official naming rights partner of the National Premier Leagues.

That’s quite a mouthful.

According to Sony, that means the “new sponsorship agreement with PlayStation 4 will see the semi-professional member federation-based competitions in Australian football branded as the ‘PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues’ up until at least the end of the National Premier Leagues 2017 Finals Series and reflects the Sony group’s support of football at national and international levels.”

It also means the sport just just launched the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues 2014 Finals Series.

As far as what that means to gaming… well, we’re not sure. But, at least if you’re at a stadium watching a football match, you might see PS4 signs everywhere. That’s a win, right?
