Far Cry 6 Amigos are the new Fangs for Hire (like Chorizo the sausage dog!)

Far Cry 6 Amigos are its version of Far Cry 5‘s Fangs for Hire, Ubisoft Toronto confirmed with Stevivor. Moreover, we’ve been introduced to our first Amigo: Chorizo the sausage dog.

“Chorizo is going to be an amazing Amigo,” Navid Khavari, Narrative Director on Far Cry 6, told Stevivor.

“When the concept Chorizo was done — and I’m not kidding — the next day I came into the office, everyone’s wallpaper was Chorizo the sausage dog. The little tease I’ll give is he kills ’em with kindness.”

Established in Far Cry 5, the Fangs for Hire (now Amigos) system allows the player the opportunity to recruit an animal companion. It’s primary function is combat, including takedowns.

Khavari also went as far as to name Chorizo his favourite animal in the game, continuing a Stevivor tradition identifying beasts ahead of release. Chorizo the sausage dog joins Far Cry 4‘s honey badger and Far Cry 5‘s skunk.

You can see Chorizo in action below, including the special Libertad (“Freedom”) skin available as a pre-order bonus.

Far Cry 6 heads to Windows PC via Uplay & Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia where available on 18 February 2021.
