Fallout 76 beta starts in October; pre-orders gain access

The Fallout 76 beta will kick off in October, Bethesda today announced. Bethesda also terrified those who’d already pre-ordered with wording that suggested it would be an extremely closed beta.

“Starting in October we’ll be selecting people who have pre-ordered the game from a participating retailer to enter our B.E.T.A,” a post on the Bethesda forums read.

A later edit was added, reading, “to clarify, everyone who pre-orders at a participating retailer will be included in the B.E.T.A.”

Specific beta dates were not detailed.

Moreover, it was confirmed that Bethesda will run a panel at QuakeCon to discuss Fallout 76; it’s likely we’ll hear more of the beta then. The panel is scheduled for 2.00am AEST on 11 August.

Fallout 76 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 14 November.
