Fall Guys developer Mediatonic acquired by Epic Games

Big news for Fall Guys fans.

Tonic Games Group and Fall Guys developer Mediatonic have been acquired by Epic Games, the studios today declared.

The announcement came alongside the assertion that Fall Guys “gameplay isn’t changing and Epic will continue to invest in making the game a great experience for players across platforms.”

“Beyond the shared vision among our teams, we see tremendous potential in combining forces with Epic,” said Paul Croft, Tonic Games Group Co-Founder. “Whether it’s about making our own games the best they can be or empowering other game developers to take their content from a kernel of an idea to commercial success, we know that together we will be able to reach greater heights.”

“It’s no secret that Epic is invested in building the metaverse and Tonic Games shares this goal,” added Epic Games’ Tim Sweeney. “As Epic works to build this virtual future, we need great creative talent who know how to build powerful games, content and experiences.”

Already available on Windows PC, PS4 and PS5, Fall Guys is planned for Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X and Switch later this year.
