Fable Fortune gets private funding, heads to Steam Closed beta and drops Kickstarter

Fable Fortune, the upcoming card-based game from ex-Lionhead staffers, has cancelled its Kickstarter campaign to head to a Steam Closed Beta instead.

The move is a result of a flood of private funding… and a lack of cash coming in via Kickstarter, too.

“With the immediate future of Fable Fortune now secure, we have taken the decision to end our Kickstarter campaign early to focus on releasing a Closed Beta build as quickly as possible,” an update on the game’s Kickstarter page reads.

“As we’ve always stated, we want to make this game with your help, your feedback and your input. We have huge plans for Fortune and we know that whatever happens in the future, it all started with our already incredible community.”

Those who wish to apply for the game’s closed beta can do so here.
