“Exciting things” coming for Xbox Series S & X, says Microsoft

Quick Resume, controller sync issues and the Xbox mobile app are being worked on right now...

Microsoft a number of “exciting things” for Xbox Series S & X planned in the coming weeks and months, according to Xbox’s Director of Program Management, Jason Ronald.

Ronald dropped the tease speaking to Larry Hryb as part of the Xbox Podcast (formerly the Major Nelson podcast).

“As a team, we’re just really excited by this initial response from fans all around the world,” Ronald told hosts Hryb and Jeff Rubenstein. “At launch, we say it all the time internally, this is really just the beginning. We’ve got a lot of really exciting things that are coming down the pipeline over the coming months and over the coming years.”

“There’s a lot coming… we can’t really say too much,” Hryb, Xbox’s Director of Programming, added.

Something that Microsoft is talking about is an update to the Xbox mobile app which will add Acheivement tracking — we’ve complained about that missing feature right here.

Ronald also said that he and his team are working on re-enabling Quick Resume on select titles and are aware of and are working to address a controller synching issue that causes disconnects.

We’ll have more on Xbox Series S & X updates as news is made available. Ronald’s segment on the podcast can be viewed below; it starts at 33:39.
