Melbourne Esports Open results: LOL OPL, Overwatch Contenders

The Melbourne Esports Open is done and dusted, and two big winners have emerged.

This week’s events saw victors in the League of Legends’ OPL Split 2 and Overwatch Contenders Australia Season 2. We’ve got recaps and embedded matches below for you to watch (or re-watch).

League of Legends’ OPL Split 2

The Dire Wolves were up against the Chiefs in the League of Legends‘ OPL Split 2 Grand Final, and the Dire Wolves managed to walk away with the victory.

With the win, the Dire Wolves will represent Oceania at the Worlds 2018 event to be held in South Korea later this year.

Overwatch Contenders Australia Season 2

The Overwatch Contenders Australia Season 2 title was claimed by the Sydney Drop Bears, winning the contest for the second year running.

The Drop Bears took out Dark Sided in the Season 2 finals. You can watch both parts of the Grand Final below.
