Melbourne Esports Open 2019 confirmed by ESL, TEG Live

The Melbourne Esports Open will return for 2019, taking place across the Melbourne & Olympic Parks between 31 August and 1 September.

The ESL and TEG Live today confirmed 2019’s offering, looking to build upon last year’s successful event. Previous tournaments including the League of Legends Oceanic Pro League Finals and Overwatch Contenders Australia Finals will be joined by tournaments for Fortnite, Pokémon and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege.

With events taking place at Melbourne Arena, Margaret Court Arena and Rod Laver Arena, the 2019 Melbourne Esports Open will also feature the JB Hi-Fi Game On Zone, which should give video games fans some hands-on access to new and upcoming titles.

We’ll have more on the Melbourne Esports Open 2019 as it’s made available. Last year’s event drew a crowd of more than 12,000 spectators.
