IEM Sydney 2019 adds some big-name teams

IEM Sydney 2019 will feature the Australian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive debut of both Team Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

In total, eight international teams — also including MIBR, Renegades and FaZa Clan — will compete for a $250,000 USD prize pool at the event, held between 3-5 May at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.

“Aussie fans will welcome Team Liquid and NiP when they take the stage, and local teams will relish the opportunity to take on the biggest names in CS:GO,” said Nick Vanzetti, Senior Vice President, of ESL Asia-Pacific Japan. “IEM Sydney has become a destination for the biggest teams and match-ups, and we’re excited to host household names, as they go up against crowd favourites, the Renegades.”

Tickets for IEM Sydney 2019 are still available here; day passes start at $45 AUD, while Global Elite Tickets will set you back a whopping $1,299 AUD.
