Australian Apex Open offers up a $35,000 AUD prize pool

The Australian Apex Open was today announced by Mogul, offering Aussie Apex Legends players the chance at a tournament backed by a $35,000 AUD prize pool.

With registration open from today, the tournament’s PC-exclusive qualifying tournaments will kick off on 15 April. Squads must compete in a minimum of four Apex Legends matches in an attempt to earn qualification points. At the end of the event, the top 20 teams (as decided by points) will duke it out for the $35,000 AUD prize pool. The winning team will walk away with $15,000 AUD of the entire pool.

“Mogul brings a fresh approach to esports for Australian-based players. Open to everyone, the Australian Apex Open is the first big money tournament for all Australians to compete in, not just a select group of invitees, and it’s free to enter,” said Jamie Skella, Mogul Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer.

Good luck to those teams who wish to enter.

Apex Legends is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
