EA Switch games aren’t likely within the console’s first year

EA isn’t ready to publish more games to Nintendo Switch, the publisher recently confirmed.

In conversation with the the Wall Street Journal (via Twitter), EA Chief Financial Officer, Blake Jorgensen, says the publisher will wait until the Switch has been on the market for one full year before a decision to publish more is made.

EA has published FIFA 18 to Switch, though the title is a shadow of the full release on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. The title didn’t use the Frostbite engine and didn’t offer The Journey, the game’s new, robust career mode.

EA recently said it’s looking to expand its EA Access subscription service to other platforms; judging by this response to Switch, that platform doesn’t look likely.
