DualSense Edge is PlayStation’s new pro controller

Yes, please.

The DualSense Edge was today announced by Sony, and is “high-performance, ultra customisable” DualSense controller designed for the PS5.

In short, it’s Sony’s answer to a pro controller.

The controller sports additional buttons including two new back buttons, will provide for profiles and button mapping — complete with an on-controller interface to swap between said profiles — and features adjustable parts and customisable sticks. The DualSense Edge has “three types of swappable stick caps (standard, high dome, and low dome) help you stay comfortable in game while maintaining grip and stability.

“The two swappable sets of back buttons (half-dome and lever) can be configured to be any other button input, putting more essential controls at your fingertips.”

The Edge comes with a USB-C cable with a “connector housing to lock into the controller so it’s much less likely to slip out at a crucial moment” as well as a carrying case.

You can check it out in the trailer below.

The DualSense Edge hasn’t yet been priced, nor a release date; we’ll keep you informed as we learn more. In the meantime, are you excited for this special new controller?
