DualSense controller updates can now be done on Windows PC

Don't have a PS5? No problem.

DualSense controller updates are now possible on Windows PC, welcome news for those of us with a current-gen PlayStation controller but now current-gen PlayStation console.

If you’re lacking a PS5, you can now download the “Firmware updater for DualSense wireless controller” app (what a name!) to ensure you’re up to date.

Once you’ve got the program installed, you’ll need to connect your DualSense to your PC with a USB cable and follow on-screen instructions. Only one DualSense can be plugged in and updated at a time.

The app will also notify users of when an update is ready to download and apply. Neat, eh?

If you’ve been holding off getting a DualSense because you’re struggling to get a PS5, this may change your mind. You can check out great DualSense deals on Amazon here.
