Dr Mario World heads to iOS, Android in July

Dr Mario World was just announced by Nintendo for iOS and Android devices. The mobile title will be available from 10 July, the publisher has declared.

The free-to-play title will contain microtransactions in the form of diamonds that can be used to clear levels or obtain other items.

“A colorful cast of viruses has Dr. Mario’s world in a panic,” Nintendo said of the title. “Dr. Mario and friends have put on lab coats and grabbed capsules! Now they’re ready to eliminate those unruly viruses. Hundreds of stages over many different worlds need saving, with new worlds coming on a regular basis!”

A one-on-one mode was also revealed, indicating that players can challenge their friends to a match.
