Don’t call Hitman an “early access” game

IO Interactive don’t want to call their upcoming Hitman game “early access”, to avoid implying an unfinished or buggy product. According to studio head Hannes Seifert “everything we launch will be finished, polished and completed”.

It sounds like the new Hitman will be more like episodic content, a feature complete game that is expanded with more missions rather than an ongoing core development. One difference from most episodic games is that Hitman will not charge for additional content, an interesting decision that will leave it to gamers to trust IO Interactive to deliver on their full content schedule regardless of sales figures.

Hitman arrives 8 December for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
