The Division: Players who own “Underground” are having trouble accessing it

Tom Clancy’s The Division “Underground” DLC owners are finding it difficult to actually access the content they’ve purchased.

Those who have the content on Windows PC or Xbox One (it’s coming later to PS4) via an individual purchase or as part of the game’s “Season Pass” or “Gold Edition” are all having troubles actually starting the expansion.

The Division‘s Twitter account had advised that the issue should be sorted on PC, but the issue persists on Xbox One.

Here are a couple tips that might help:

  • If you’re getting the same “Offline” error message as shown above, you mightn’t have finished the game’s “Secure Quarantine Center” side mission. It’s located to the bottom right of the Base of Operations, near the corner of W 23rd and 7th.
  • You might have downloaded the game’s 8GB update, but not the “Underground” DLC itself. A 10MB update, it can be found by highlighting The Division from your Xbox One dashboard, and then selecting “Manage Game”.
  • Some say that unlocking “Underground” via The Division‘s in-game Store also helps.

We’ve done all that, and still no dice. We’ve gone to Ubisoft for comment and will report back when more is known.
