PlayStation now offers a credit card in the USA

Sony has teamed up with Capital One to provide a PlayStation branded Visa credit card in the USA, offering Sony rewards points with purchases.

Created “with rewards designed specifically with gamers like you in mind,” the credit card will offer five times the reward points when the credit card is used inside the PlayStation Store or when purchasing PlayStation and Sony products through select retailers. Three times the points will be offered when the credit card is used to pay a mobile phone bill.

Credit card holders will earn approximately $1 in Sony Rewards with every 100 points earned.

Moreover, PlayStation Plus members will receive 50% off their yearly subscription charge after spending more than $3,000 USD in the PlayStation Store during that year. There’s also a 10% savings when making purchases inside PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Music and PlayStation Now.

The card has a $0 annual fee, a 23.99% (variable) cash advance rate and annual percentage rates of either 14.99%, 17.99%, 20.99% or 24.99%. Its interest free period is up to 25 days.
