Melbourne’s Chapel Street has a Sonic the Hedgehog burger

Melbourne’s Chapel Street precinct is throwing a burger crawl that’s offering up some pretty random eats and among them is a Sonic the Hedgehog-themed burger from BosozokuHQ.

Called ‘Sonic the Egg Hogg’, the burger is made with a blue brioche bun, wagyu beef, Canadian maple streaky bacon, melted cheese, egg, mustard, beetroot and relish. As you’d expect, the burger is also served with golden onion rings. You can take a look at the behemoth above.

While not gaming themed, a number of other Chapel Street outlets have some crazy burgers. Pablo Escoburgers is offering up “Australia’s most alcoholic burger”; its ingredients are steeped in 60mls of neat spirit and the burger itself is served with a shot of whisky. The Tommy Ruff Fish Bar has a $140 burger that comes with a lobster tail too if you’re so inclied.

You can check out all participating outlets and their burgers here. BosozokuHQ’s located at 427 Chapel St in South Yarra, VIC; the Sonic the Egg Hogg burger is available from 23 May.

While BosozokuHQ said the burger is to celebrate the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog feature film, don’t forget that Team Sonic Racing heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch next week.
