Fuzzy Ghost tells us why it likes long game titles

Ask, and ye shall receive.

Aussie developer Fuzzy Ghost has doubled down on what we honestly meant as a throwaway line, responding to our question of why its game titles are so long.

No, really.

We’ve always loved long titles, like Fiona Apple’s album title, When The Pawn… the full title of which is 90 words long,” Fuzzy Ghost co-founder Scott Ford said. “So that’s still something to match.

“Also I think we’d just been seeing a lot of films and games with flat one word titles, like Gunfall, or Bird or whatever. So we just decided to do the opposite, to have titles that are almost conversational. And then we add extras, too, because we can’t help ourselves.”

Fuzzy Ghost is the developer behind Queer Man Peering Into a Rock Pool.jpg a Queer Games Festival 2022 shortlisted title that you should ABSOLUTELY check out, by the way — and the upcoming Janet De Mornay is a Slumlord (and a Witch).

If you missed the news earlier, Fuzzy Ghost is on the hunt for rental horror stories for Janet De Mornay(if they can condense Fiona’s title, we can do the same to theirs).
