Destiny 2’s Dreaming City endgame location has it all

A new Destiny 2 Dreaming City trailer builds up ridiculous levels of hype for Forsaken‘s special new endgame environment.

There is A LOT to take in, including what we believe to be a glimpse of Eris Morn, the Hunter turned Hidden turned Vanguard Hive expert who was first introduced to players inside Destiny’The Dark Below expansion and has been noticeably absent from Destiny 2 to date. We’ve taken a screencap of who we think is Eris, above — what do you think? If that’s her, she seems to be a pawn of the Hive… at least for the time being.

Beyond that, the Dreaming City looks to be the game’s ultimate endgame destination. The hidden city, one belonging to the Reef’s Awoken, is “riddled with puzzles” according to the trailer, offering up “loot and lore” to “the worthy.”

It also hides a “massive raid” at the city’s core.

Finally, you can check out an assortment of new weaponry and Guardian supers as part of the trailer. Check it all out below.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Guardians can grind for the chance at 400 Power armour during the Solstice of Heroes event that’s currently running. Forsaken — and the Dreaming City — heads to all available platforms in September.

Update: Stevivor’s Hamish has schooled me on my post — already — as he believes that ‘Eris’ is actually a Techeun, one of many Tech Witches employed by the Awoken Queen, Mara Sov.

You can take a look at the Queen and her Techeun below, thanks to a screencap from Destiny‘s The Taken King expansion.

The women above seem to resemble the woman in the new trailer, eh? The Awoken connection makes sense too.

So what do you think? I’m starting to lean towards Hamish’s take on the matter myself.
