Destiny 2 Xbox Series X, PS5 release confirmed by Bungie

Destiny 2 Xbox Series X, PS5 release has been confirmed today by developer Bungie.

In a tweet that appeared after Microsoft’s big third-party Xbox Series X gameplay reveal, Bungie simply stated, “Destiny 2 will be on next-gen platforms! More details to come.”

Because of the nature of the announcement, it’s unclear if Bungie will go the Xbox Series X Smart Delivery route and offer next-gen versions of the title for those who’ve already purchased it on current-gen, or if we’ll all simply have to buy the game again.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4; a free-to-play slice called New Light is also available on those platforms.
