Destiny 2 trailer showcases new Strand subclass

Spooky.

A brand spanking new Destiny 2 Lightfall trailer has shed some light on its new Strand subclass.

Each class will receive a new Strand super as part of the subclass edition, and all will be accompanied by new grappling hook functionality that will help Guardians traverse throughout Neptune’s neon city of Neomuna.

The Warlock Broodweaver will gain access to Needlestorm, in which Guardians will “conjure a wave of piercing Strand missiles,” according to Bungie. “After the missiles strike their enemies, they detonate and reweave themselves into Threadlings that chase after nearby targets.”

Meanwhile, the Titan Berserker will add Blade Fury to their arsenal, weaving “weave large blades onto their arms while they roam the battlefield using light and heavy attacks,” Bungie said. “Light attacks allow Titans to quickly slash enemies and build energy for their heavy attack, in which they swing their blades to launch projectiles that suspend and incapacitate enemies on impact.”

Finally, the Hunter Threadrunner will wield Silkstrike, where they’ll “weave a rope dart to strike down their enemies,” Bungie said. “The light attack throws the dart forward to strike a single enemy. Hitting an enemy with the tip of the dart deals bonus damage, and defeating enemies in this manner causes them to explode. The heavy attack swings the rope dart around a large area, damaging all nearby enemies.”
